Ahma Thong's 22nd Birthday!

JEANETTE'S SMASHING 22ND!
........................................................................

So, some time ago, one of my really good friends, Jeanette aka Ahma Thong, had her 22nd birthday. I've been wanting to blog about her birthday for the longest time and finally found time to do so today. Oh, after you're done reading this entry, stay tuned for more. I'll probably end up doing 1 or 2 more blog entries, so just keep checking this page! :)

Birthdays.... sometimes I wonder... should we actually really celebrate our birthdays? To think about it negatively, it only means you're a year closer to dying....Ok fine... C'mon, it is the truth right? So, why do people bother getting all happy and celebratory about such an event? So, while pondering over this... I got a little curious and decided to google "Why celebrate birthdays?" and stumbled upon this website that gave a pretty sensible answer. Read below.
"Your birthday is chosen by God -- not your parents, your astrologer or the obstetrician. Birth is God's saying that the world can't go on without you. It is the day that your soul's mission had to begin.
There were already nearly six billion people on earth when you were born. Did the world really need you? Can one more soul really make a difference? Obviously the answer is yes; otherwise God would not have sent your soul to this earth. The fact that you were born means there must be some unique gift that you have to offer the world that none of those other six billion people could possibly achieve."
Your birthday is an opportunity to reflect: This is the day that my soul was dispatched on its mission. How is the mission going? Have I been contributing my part to the furthering of G-d's purpose to create heaven on earth? Have I been doing my bit to enhance and improve myself and my world? How much time and energy do I spend on meaningful pursuits? How much time could I add to that amount in the coming year?"

So the next time, you celebrate your birthday... ask yourself "During the entire year you were given from your last birthday, what difference have you made? What have you achieved in your life? Have you done more good than bad? ". If every human being, thought about life this way, I'm sure the world would be a much better place. Anyway, on with the rest of the blog entry.

Delicious cupcakes that Jeanette ordered. She was such a sweetheart... she knew how much I loved cupcakes, and so she ordered a few extras for me. But sadly, I didn't have much of an appetite that day... and so I only managed to eat one cupcake. :(

My gorgeous friend, Jeanette! :)

So Bryan and I had a brilliant idea. Okay it was mainly Bryan's idea. I wanted to get Jeanette a cake. Bryan wanted to get her a vibrator. LOL. And so, I came up with the brilliant idea to stick the vibrator in the middle of the cake... thus giving you... "A VIBRATING CAKE!".  Awesome eh? Ideas for you to surprise a friend on her 21st or something. Hahaha.

Bryan and Jason :)

Awww look at that little dog. Isn't Zoey the cutest thing ever?

Nom nom nom.

Hahahaha. the gay dude kept on talking about how hot Bryan was.

Ahma is gone already..

It was such a memorable and fun night! Gah... if only we have more hours given to us in a day. And if only clubs opened for longer hours. 4am, just does not seem to cut it anymore. Hours seem to pass so fast.
All in all, I'm glad Jeanette enjoyed her birthday! :)

To my dear Ahma Thong,

Thank you very much for all the times you've had to endure my countless emotional rants to you. Thank you for always being there for me whenever I needed someone to talk to. If there's one thing I'm grateful for in the year 2012, is having met you! :')

And I know we are not that super duper close... but just know that you can always count on me because I'll always be there for you. In times when you don't wish to speak, I'll lend you a shoulder to lean on. In times of doubt, I'll be there with a listening ear. Though it's been only like... 3 months or so? I feel like we've been friends for forever. And I do hope that we'll always be this close. You, me and Bryan. :)

And I'll make sure I fly down from Perth just to see you guys, should July really happen! Hahaha. Love you Ahma Thong! :)
Cheers to many more months and years of friendship. May this friendship always grow.

Lots of Love,
Sofia Dendroff
